FULL OF NOISES 2019 - BARROW PARK GREENHOUSE ILLUSTRATIONS

FON19set.jpeg

A commission from Full of Noises in Barrow-in-Furness to create a group of illustrations to be used for the publicity for their 2019 festival.

The group had recently been given several boxes of 3.5 inch glass slides of Kew Gardens from the late 1940s and, using these as inspiration I was asked to make a series of illustrations of plants including those found in the park and its greenhouse. Barrow Park is an extensive 45-acre public park in which Full of Noises have their home, and the festival features sound art and music installations across the park. From my sketches I produced six detailed high resolution drawings in Procreate, redrawing my original designs in A3 scale so they could be used on large publicity materials. These were then used by the Full of Noises team to design flyers, posters, banners and even Crazy Gold score cards.
