THE CREATIVE PATHFINDING PROGRAMME

for people whose creative dream was the path not taken

Uncover the path of your own creative journey

Develop your creative confidence with the gentle support you need to move forwards

Your creativity has been put on the backburner for a long time…

You know there is a part of you that longs to be more creative, but something is always in the way of you getting started.

You’ve spent years living with cupboards filled with art materials, or journals full of ideas and potential projects, but you aren’t sure where to begin.

Perhaps your bookshelves are stacked with self-guided art courses you fully intend to do, but have never made it past the second chapter.

Or you trained as an artist or maker but took a break for family, health or money reasons and want to get back to creating - except the work you did then feels like it was made by someone else.

Maybe you haven’t hung an exhibition since your degree show, and the art world feels like another world - you don’t know the language or where you belong in it.

You’re waiting for that week your calendar is completely blank, or the day you wake up and finally commit to taking the next step.

You don’t need to wait for the perfect moment any longer.

Your creativity matters, so let’s find ways to make it work for your life right now.

Imagine how it would feel to connect with your creativity again…

Start painting those pictures in your head and sharing your beautiful, imaginative world before you retire at 70.

Sit down and write stories again just like you did when you were a child - before someone made you embarrassed of your spelling.

Pick up your camera and express your unique take on the world around you, even if you only have 10 minutes a day on the school run.

Find a way to share your art with the people you love - or to an audience you would love to speak to - without it making you so anxious that it interupts with your creative flow and changes how you connect with your art.

Let go of the self-consciousness art school gave you about your creative process, and rediscover that feeling of self-expression and joy you used to find in your work.

But it’s normal to find that things get in the way such as…

A lack of time and the struggle to prioritise - or feel like you can - find time for yourself.

The fear of spending your precious free time on something that will disappoint you or make you feel like you have failed.

Feeling intimidated by your ideas and not knowing which steps you need to take to reach the finished outcome you picture in your head.

Feeling like you’ll never create anything as perfect as you imagine it to be, so you avoid getting started at all.

Being unable to let yourself enjoy the creative process because of messages you were given about your abilities or what you else you should be doing with your life.

A feeling of being stuck or overwhelmed the moment you decide to give yourself permission to create.

In this process we’ll be exploring what inspires you, brings you joy and works with your life now. It is not a business programme.

The Creative Pathfinding Programme is designed to help you navigate all of these problems and to support you in connecting with your creative self - both now and for the future you imagine ahead of you.

Hellooooo lovely creative!

I’m Eleanor (but you can call me Ellie!) I’m an artist and creativity coach with 15 years experience in sharing the creative process with thousands of people.

I’m also a highly sensitive creative who knows how difficult it can be to market your work, be visible online, overcome fears around networking and the many other challenges of being a sensitive artist. But with this experience I’ve come to see my sensitivity as one of my biggest strengths.

I’ve been a self-employed artist since 2009 and my own journey has included:

- Working as a full time artist, sharing my own artwork through exhibitions, residencies, funded projects and through selling work online.

- Gaining qualifications in art up to MA level, in counselling skills, and as a teacher and trainer for people aged 16+ in the arts.

- Working as a creative practitioner teaching art and craft subjects for people of all ages including in formal education, community and adult education, for museums, galleries and arts organisations.

On my own journey I have experienced many failures, wrong directions and disappointments.

But I’ve also learned what works for me in different phases of my life, and how to move through the hard parts so I can keep doing what I love: making things and sharing creativity.

12 weeks of exploring where you really want to go so you can follow your own path onwards.

Rediscover what lights you up inside and inspires you.

Move through resistance and identify what works with your life now, so you can find freedom and flow in the artistic process.

Receive the gentle support you have been looking for to nurture your creative intentions, and find a path that aligns with them.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

We have a free 45 minute Discovery Call for you to decide if the offer is right for you.

Before our first session the ‘Your Creative Connection’ activity will help you to explore what you’d like to work on.

We’ll work together in 6 x 60 minute calls to identify what really matters to you, and to help you make progress in these areas. These take place alternate weeks.

Between sessions you’ll be given a weekly time to ask for clarification or guidance using the Voice Messaging app Voxer.

WHAT THE ‘CREATIVE PATHFINDING PROGRAMME’ WILL BRING TO YOU:

  • Clarity about what really matters to you, and what role you want creativity to play in your life.

  • An awareness of the key things that are getting in your way - circumstancial, environmental and emotional - and new approaches to help you navigate these.

  • A different perspective on what it means to be ‘a creative person’ that will free you of social expectations or outdated beliefs you were taught from others.

  • An easier, more joyful connection with your inner creativity which I believe we all have as children and never really lose.

At the end of our work together you will have a written or visual guide laying out what your path onwards from the programme will look like, and what your intentions are going forwards. You’ll feel more free to explore your own path, find flow and have more fun as your go forwards with your creative journey.

‘For years I had been telling myself that "I could be a writer one day", but had never quite taken it seriously. Deep down I didn't think of myself as a creative person. But after working with Eleanor I have already taken steps on the path of uncovering my creative self and believing I can make it happen. Eleanor immediately understood how creativity could fit in with my work and family life. She gave me simple, practical steps to make space for my ideas and form a regular writing habit as part of my nature walks. She has helped me refine this practice as I test it out and I already feel so much more confident that I can take this further. Thank you Eleanor for your friendly and insightful support!’

This requires both a commitment and investment that won’t be right for everyone at this time. And that’s ok! If you’re not in the place to invest in this programme yet I’ll soon be offering on-demand video classes to help inspire your creativity and develop your connection to the natural world. Why not join my mailing list using the form at the bottom of the page to be notified when these go live.

However, if you are ready to decide your creativity matters and having support, accountability and kindness is the help you need to get your creative dreams going now, when you sign up you’ll also receive these special bonuses:

BONUS MATERIALS INCLUDE:

A Google Drive folder which I will update after each session with resources to support you in reflecting on this session, with creative approaches you may want to explore in the future. You will be transferred ownership of this when the programme comes to a close, and will be able to refer to these as you take your next steps on your journey and beyond.

A FREE 60 minute check-in call one month after our last session to look at what is working, and to make sure you have all the support you need to practice after (self)care and keeping making progress independently.
